1. Receive Registration Email
You will receive this email a few weeks before your exam. Your organisation will advise when you should expect it. It will come from email@example.com. You may need to check your junk / spam folder if it doesn't appear when expected.
The Systems Check will be specific to the exam type you are doing so you may not have to set up a webcam as is referenced in the General Video Instructions link in the email.
Proctor Systems Check
The Systems Check will require you to complete the following tests. Failing to complete these checks will mean you will not be able to sit your exam. It is crucial you complete these checks on the device and network you plan to use on the day of the exam.
If your exam is not being invigilated via your webcam and / or mobile camera you will not be required to complete those tests.
Microphone (if required)
Proctor may need to use you microphone to invigilate the exam. You will need to speak into your microphone to test it. If it doesn't work you may need to allow Proctor to use your microphone via Chrome's settings page, link below
You will need to check your speakers work. A piece of music will play, all you need to do is confirm whether you have heard it.

You do not to do anything to complete this step on Proctor but you can test you internet speed at fast.com

Your exam may be invigilated by recording you via your webcam. Please ensure you have a one if it is required for your exam. You may need to change the settings on Chrome to allow sites (ie. Proctor) to be able to use your webcam. You can use the below link to go straight to that page in Chrome settings.
If you are doing an exam that is invigilated by webcam you may also be asked to present photo id (student card, passport, ID card, or a driver’s license)

Note: Huawei P30, Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016), Google Pixel 3 and newer are not compatible with our app.

Proctor invigilates your exam by recording your screen. To do this you need to allow Chrome to record your screen.
To do this on a Mac go to System Preferences > Security and Privacy > Privacy > Screen Recording and select the tick box next to Google Chrome in the list on the right. It should look something like this
