Start by creating a new zap (Click 'MAKE A ZAP').
Next search for and select Synap(beta) If this isn't appearing for you, then you may need to contact us to add you to the beta.
Once this has been selected you will need to connect your account (see the black selected bar) after this for all future set ups the account will be visible as it is in the image below (only it will have your portal name there instead).
This will open a new window where you will be asked to enter your API Key, Portal ID and Secret Key, all of which will be provided to you by us.
Next you want to select the trigger event, in this case its a 'User Added to User Group'
After this is selected you can test the trigger, this isn't strictly necessary and will most likely fail due to no user being added to a group during the build of the trigger.
Next you want to add and 'Action' for this example we are going to send a message to a slack member letting them know someone has been added to a user group.
Above we are selecting slack as the app we want the action to take place on.
Next we will be asked to connect an account, similarly to the above once an account is connected it will be visible in the drop down when creating future ZAP's.
Below we select that the action will be to send a direct message.
Next we are presented with a host of options to customise our message. In the message text we can take useful information such as the users name, and the user group they have been added to.
Once we are happy we have set the message up we can run a quick test to ensure it comes through to the channel and then if we are happy, set the ZAP live.
